Happy Halloween!!

For those of you who may be a little confused, Drew is the Rally Monkey. He is the unofficial mascot of the Anaheim Angels...you knew she couldn't just be a monkey in our family, she was a Duck last year, next year maybe a Memphis Tiger or a Houston Astro... You can see the actual Rally Monkey at www.rallymonkey.com.
It was 75 degrees all evening so we tried to give Drew as much breathing room as possible in her furry costume. That, combined with NO NAP (which hasn't happened since the day she was born), was recipe for potential meltdown. We started out stealing candy from Grammy and Grampy's house...

Then we looked at the pumpkins for the 100th time. We discovered Drew's favorite part about Halloween were the "pumpums." She liked peeking inside them, picking them up, throwing them and hugging them.
Here is the Scott/Gratton Trick-or-Treat caravan (Nikki included) with Princess Drew being pulled in her wagon.

"Candy? You mean everyone we KNOW is just handing out candy? What can I do to be a part of this? I'll do anything! Just let me have the candy!.......I can wear that."
~Jerry Seinfeld

"Ooh, here's a pumpkin I haven't seen yet, wonder if there's any candy in the kitty cat."
Evidence of the no nap.
Drew never seemed scared of any of the decorations, guess she won't be a scaredy cat like her mommy. Auntie Kels was so proud.

Even Great-Grandpa had candy ready for Drew...and not the butterscotch hard candy you would assume. HERSHEYS!
"I've been in this thing for 2 hours now. Get me out and give me some food."I have 4 videos posted on youtube now (click on a frame just above her age ticker), I will add more in a few days. The no-nap led to a pleasant meltdown...she was all giggles later that night and we were fortunate enough to actually get some on tape!

Teagen's 1st Birthday!

The Birthday Girl - Teagen is One! By the way, I have way more pictures of Teagen smiling than I do of Drew...she is so photogenic!
Drew and Teagen playing catch.
Drew and Maya drawing with sidewalk chalk.
Drew learned a new name today: "Ma-ma" means "Maya" as well as "Mommy."

I think Drew may have a mild form of OCD. She lined up several water bottles at the party and earlier in the day she put her sippy cup in my diaper bag and when it was crooked she went back and straightened out. I don't know where she got that (ahem, Grammie)!

Laundry and the Harvest Festival

It helps Daddy when I sit in the laundry basket and hand Daddy clothes to fold. Here's my costume for the Halloween Harvest. We'll wait until Halloween to unveil my costume. Hopefully it won't be 88 degrees like it was today.
Mommy and me at the festival, it was hot!! So not trick-or-treating weather :(
Daddy and me are sweating, glad I didn't wear my costume.
This boy didn't dress up and he got candy in the costume parade, what's the deal?
My Halloween costume for the Harvest Festival. We can only dress like fall if it dips below 88 degrees outside.

Pumpkin Patch

It seems we've all taken our children to the Pumpkin Patch at the same time....Samantha... Lindsey... :) I hope it was cooler for everyone else than it was for us. The temp said 75 but it was at least 90 at the patch. Poor Drew was panting.

Mommy and me...
This one looks good, Mom. Think you can carve Elmo into this?
I sure love mechanical rides, even if it took 3 adults to supervise in shifts.
Don't look too close, we are all sweating profusely in the October heat of the OC.
Sometimes I liked the petting zoo, sometimes I was quite scared and backed into Mommy several times for protection.
I've already heard the pumpkin-face jokes :)
Oink. I liked the fake pig better than the real ones. They smelled worse than my diaper after I've had lots of fruit.
I did love the Ducks though...who is surprised?
Here I am, riding my first horse. Don't tell anyone he's mostly hay.
Here's how tall I am...unfortunately neither Mommy, Daddy, Grammie, Grampy or Auntie Kels bothered to actually see how tall I was.

Daddy's Girl

I sure have enjoyed spending all this time with Daddy. I love being able to see him everyday and have him all to myself. Here we are, snacking together...
I love eating grown-up food.
Part pretzel, part cracker, all delicious.
Don't ask...

Watching my stories

Drew watches The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland every morning with Boppa and sometimes in the afternoon too. She usually doesn't like to be disturbed.

Drew and Boppa sharing the big chair while watching the Angels game...Maybe next year, guys.

More beach pics

Enjoying some lunch at the beach.
The birthday boy, Cooper, and Mom Kendra
The birthday boy's big sister, Taylor. Her birthday is 2 days after mine!

Turn ons: long walks on the beach and
cool sunglasses.
Turn offs: sand in my mouth and
in my pants, and
icy cold Pacific Ocean water!
