Potty Training

We haven't officially begun our weekend potty training boot camp (that starts a week from Friday), but we have been warming her up to the idea for months. For the last month she has probably gone wee-wee on the potty between once a day and once every two days, for which she gets a "special treat" (hershey kiss, $1 witch's hat, Snackwell cookie, etc.). We've also had 2 poopies within the last week that made it into her potty (yay!!!).

Yesterday we made the "big-girl panties" purchase and thought we'd try them on.
The first picture (which didn't come out on my broken camera) was of her with her panties on OVER her shorts and diaper, very classy. We'll keep you updated.

On a different note, my dear friend, Beth is due October 16 and as of last night is already 1cm dilated and 70% effaced! I'm so excited for her and can't wait for Baby Lauren to get here, I'm already on pins and needles waiting for the call.

Ducks win! Ducks win! Ducks win!

Monday night was our first (preseason) game of the 2009-2010 hockey season...and Drew's third game ever. She was super excited when we parked, screaming "HOCKEY!! I'M SO EXCITED!" You would have thought we bought her Disneyland.
There are lots of loud noises and hockey and it took a little getting used to. However at the loudest noise, when the Ducks scored, she immediately started clapping and didn't hide her eyes at all...it's in her blood to be a hockey fan!
Enjoying a little Ducks vs. Sharks. Drew kept looking for Wild Wing and he never made it near us.
Working on her flexibility during intermission. Or "skating" as she calls it.
Even though there were some empty seats around us, she cuddled with Mommy most of the time.
Need we say more?

Taste of Newport

The gang cruising to Fashion Island.
Jeremy having a sample of sausage - he said it was delicious.
Drew and Daddy checking out the chocolate-covered strawberries, mmmmm!
Mommy got a few bites in as well.
Drew giving her approval of a fun day, with her princess crown on.

Silliness

Just like the blogpost title says...
Laguna Beach may not be known for it's huge waves, but that day they were!
The hair really helps her achieve her silliness.
Loves taking care of her babies....
...and playing "rock and roll" (what she calls guitar hero).

As I was posting this today, I was also feeding her lunch. Sometimes I move the high chair so she can watch Dora while she eats. I was cleaning up at the sink and apparently was blocking her view, she said "Sorry Mommy, move out of the way," while waving her arm. I am beginning to think her good speaking skills are going to bite us in the rear. At least she said 'sorry.'

Getting Daddy's genes

Poor Drew regularly wakes up from her naps a tad sweaty. One of the few downsides of taking after her father.

What I did Labor Day weekend. by Drew Gratton

Got to eat my favorite lunch outside on the lounge.
Chilled with Daddy on the float...if he has his shirt off, I have my shirt off.
My BFF Meagan came to play. She does like to play with me even if this picture doesn't look like it.
Showed off my daredevil skills by going headfirst down the slide and taking a few faceplants.
What a cutie!

This week in the OC

Pushing stools from the kitchen to in front of the family room tv so she can see the 42" screen better.
Crashing out on auntie Kelsey's couch after a hard night of partying.
Flying as a fairy princess on Boppa's shoulders at the Orange International Street Fair.
On Norwegian Street, as a viking.
Flossing after some lovely BBQ.
Sword-fighting with her new weapon.

Hopefully that doesn't lead to this....
