The Griswold/Gratton Family Thanksgiving began with an almost 7-hour car ride to June Lake, CA. Drew listened to her iPod, watched TV and looked out the window. I was highly impressed with her handling of such a long drive...her longest to date!
On Thanksgiving Day we watched a little of the parade, and played outside with "the boys" Cole, Carson and Cade.
Cade was being a little shy, so Drew played the role of official Thanksgiving Indian "Howling Coyote." She wasn't shy at all.
While she enjoyed the turkey and jello, she didn't touch her mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn or green beans. She did manage to save room for apple crisp and pumpkin pie. Surprise, surprise.
Friday was a bit chillier and the bigger coats and warmer hats came out.
The wind whipping by Drew on the zipline also caused a bit of a chill. In case you can't see him, Jeremy is pushing Drew...he borrowed some hunting gear from my cousin when the went and shot some skeet that afternoon.
On Saturday we got so much snow, we were able to sled down the driveway (that's Jeremy and me, in case it's not clear), but it also meant we had to dig our cars out and leave at 1 instead of 10am.
Drew finally got to use her hot pink snowsuit that Grammy and Boppa got for her last Christmas and she enjoyed doing some sledding.
But I did hear the words "I want to go back in the cabin" several times while we were in the snow.
Ski School for Drew next winter!
