Fun with Auntie Kels

Time is running low on all the time Drew has been able to spend with Auntie Kels...She has gotten a job (yay!) in Santa Monica (boo!) and is moving to Beverly Hills (wow!) in June.Drew has begun to cry when Kelsey leaves the house...even if Mommy is holding her.
I think Kelsey is Drew's BFF. And Drew is the little sister Kelsey never had. We're all assuming that when Kelsey comes home from LA she's really coming home to see Drew aka "Kelsey's Princess." No seriously, that's what Kelsey and Drew have nicknamed Drew.

Cadey-Boy and Baby Drew

Last weekend Aunt Nancy, Uncle Don and Cade came to babysit Drew and visit with Grandpa while we went to the Jones wedding.

As you can see they definitely entertained themselves. Here are some quotes from the weekend:

Cade: "Baby Drew! Baby Drew! Baby Drew!"
Drew: "What's Cadey-boy doing?"

Jeremy (at 6:00am Sunday): "Hi Buddy, why don't you go down and watch some cartoons. (pause). Hey buddy? Please do NOT go into Baby Drew's room yet. She's still sleeping."
Cade (with his cowboy hat, mask, chaps and boots on, guns drawn): "Ok."

Kimmy: "Cade, can Drew have a ride in the car? Please? Drew, no hit - wait your turn."

The usual silliness

Scott and Kat's Wedding...sans Drew

The newest Mr. and Mrs. Jones

Debuting the new haircut. The ScrattonsJeremy working on his moves with The Groom
and, it seems, doing the robot with the best man.

Mother's Day

Obviously we are a little late in our Mother's Day posting. I was especially lucky that Drew picked Sunday of all days to sleep until 10am -- wow!
We had dinner at El Niguel with Great Grandpa Gabe.

My special girl.
Earlier we went over to the Montage in Laguna and all the girls walked around the parks.
Drew really wanted to wear her Belle dress and got many compliments on it. She did look pretty darn cute. Grammy and Nikki are in the background :)

Sweet Girl

Usually our posts are of Drew being very silly or doing something strange. I thought I'd post some that show her sweet side.

Lizard Walks

We've started a new hobby at our house...late afternoon lizard hunts. In our front and backyard there are dozens of lizards around and Drew and I have been strolling almost every afternoon looking for them.

Sometimes we get sidetracked playing in the dirt.
Or singing Frosty the Snowman to our (slightly mean) neighbor's planter.

And then running up and down his front yard's mini-hill.We also get distracted walking up and down other neighbors' steps while singing the Sound of Music. Yes, she is imitating the scene in Salzburg where they sing "Doe, a dear." I'm not joking. And then we relax with Danny's table-in-a-bag in the backyard with some smoked pork butt from Boppa's Big Green Egg."Alicious!" (aka "delicious")

Super Drew vs. Princess Drew

Princess Drew gets to wear pretty dresses.

Princess Drew smiles a whole lot.
Princess Drew has lots of furry friends.
And other royal friends as well.
And Princess Drew gets to jump on the bed with Auntie Kels.

But Super Drew can score at will...

Teaching Nikki...with an unhappy ending

Mommy had to put up the splash shield when the splashing got crazy.

These next 2 pictures are what happens when you say "smile Drew!"

This post requires a little explaining. First because understanding Drew still needs a little translating, and second because the video comes to an abrupt ending after a minor cursing by Mommy. Drew begins by telling Nikki about the things she has in her bath toy bag:

Drew:
"It's a DUCK!"
"And...Nemo!"
"What's that? Alligator."
"A dolphin."
"What is it? Ariel."
"Seahorse, Nikki. Seahorse NIKKI! Seahorse Nikki."

Mommy (as she sees some floaties in the tub, again): "Oh Crap!"

And then we call Daddy and quickly move into Danny and Boppa's big tub while Mommy gets tub-scrubbing duty. Yuck. I promise that I don't post bath pictures just to post poop happenings. But we're batting (pooping) .500 in the bath when Mommy has her camera.
