Daddy's 30!!!

My daddy turned 30 on Sunday and that is really old, especially since Mommy keeps reminding daddy she is still in her late twenties, whatever that means.

Here is Daddy and the homemade cheesecake Mommy made him. It was dulce de leche, his favorite. Mommy gave me a nibble and I decided that 'cake' is my new favorite word.

Mommy, Daddy, Boppa, Danny and a lot of other friends went go-kart racing for Daddy's party. He got first place, but I'm sure he's no match for me in my new Super-Coupe. Uncle Chad took 2nd place, and is acting quite silly and Uncle Lewie took third. Don't ask Godpappy David how he did.

Still loves bathtime.

As you can see, Drew still thoroughly enjoys her baths. She likes to "swim" aka lay on her stomach and kick......and splash Mommy.

No lie...1 minute after this picture was taken, Drew dropped a floater in the tub and Mommy had a mad scramble to get her out of the tub and eventually get the soap out of her hair. Is it me or does she look like she knows exactly what she's doing?

Chuck E. Cheese and the Park

On Saturday we took our first trip to Chuck E. Cheese and our umpteenth trip to the park. Drew decided she was big enough now to go down the big slide by ourself. Only a couple of times did she start the slide on her bottom and end up on her tummy -- I must've watched her slide 15 times before we had to come home for dinner :)

Chuck E. Cheese was a huge hit and Drew absolutely loved looking for Chuck around the place. She hardly ate anything because she was too excited. We rode the Barney ride several times and now we have to put the Barney Show on at home -- Daddy is not happy about that, but as you can see Drew is thrilled with Barney.

Evidently Mommy is the one who needs the practice.

New bounce toy -- same hairdo

The Dora bouncy toy was finally destroyed in the epic battle with Nikki. The new jungle-themed toy is very apropos for our little monkey and she has learned new tricks for it, too.

Playing with Cadey-boy

So excited to be at the park!

Catch (or is it fetch?) with Cade.

Baseball with the BOYS!!

On Saturday we went up to watch our cousins, Cole and Carson, play baseball. Both boys pitched and had great games, Drew spent most of her time chasing Cade around and trying to keep up with the big kids. Here are Drew and Cade hanging out near the dugout of the White Sox (Carson's team).

Drew, enjoying an apple during Cole's game (he's on the Angels).
Cade and Drew playing on the playground.
Drew loves to hold hands and let's you know. She says "hands!" while grabbing you and dragging you where she wants to go. Cade was very sweet to let her pull him around the park all day. Occasionally he did hop on his scooter and high-tail it out of there.

drew and her music

Usually she will sing along and say "sunge-bah" (Spongebob), and also play her nose like a flute at the end like Spongebob does. She was not performing today. But I think Uncle Jason would still be proud.

At the park

We really hope that everyone who experienced snow this past weekend is safe and someplace warm. That said...it was 80 degrees at the Laguna Niguel Regional Park on Sunday. Drew is giving a shout-out to all those in the cold though...her shirt says "Mommy's Snow Angel."
